We have a new soap that’s perfect for fall – Caramel Apple Spice! This soap was colored naturally with cinnamon and combines the tart scent of apple with a sweet caramel and a touch of cinnamon spice for a delightful bath experience!
Here’s an inside look into my workspace:
I always carefully measure my lye, wearing gloves and taking safety precautions. If you decide to make your own soap, remember that lye is caustic and safety measures must be followed! After combining the ingredients, I use a KitchenAid to mix the liquid soap for about an hour:
I colored this batch with a dash of actual cinnamon:
Once it has achieved a nice trace, I let it cool in the mold:
I love my no-stick Bramble Berry silicone mold!
After cutting and letting set, I now have my batch of autumn soaps!
